Frequently Asked Questions |
Why is factory certification important? |
Marine engines and drive systems are advancing at an exponential rate. They are now computer controlled, both for operations and diagnosis. Today’s marine repair shop must be an authorized dealer for the major brands of engines in order to allow their technicians to attend factory training to keep current with all the new technology. |
Do I have to bring my boat to you? |
No, you do not. If you are unable to bring your boat to us, we can come to your boat. We offer mobile service that ranges all over Michigan. The fee for the service call is based on the distance from our shop. |
Do you sell boats? |
We do not. We only repair boats and their systems and sell the related parts and accessories. |
What if I have an insurance claim? |
We work closely with all marine insurance companies. Whether your claim involves damage from running aground, striking an underwater object, water intrusion damage or even a mischievous raccoon gnawing on your wiring harness, we will prepare an estimate and handle the entire process. |
Will you install parts I purchased elsewhere? |
We certainly will. Of course, we would like you to purchase your parts from us, but realize that there are sometimes circumstances in which you would already have bought the parts or accessories needed. |
Do you service other makes of engines besides the specific ones for which you are a dealer? |
We service most all the major brands of engines and drives. We are factory certified dealers for Mercruiser, Mercury Outboard and Volvo Penta gasoline and diesel engines. We also service Crusader, OMC, Westerbeke, Yanmar Diesel, Universal diesel and Perkins. |
